Pastor Chris Wachter
Chris was born and raised right here in the gopher state! He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in graphic design and worked as a graphic designer for two years before going to Bethel Seminary to earn his Master of Divinity. His hobbies include art, hanging out with friends, watching movies, taking walks with his wife, riding roller coasters (though he gets sick after a couple rides), golfing, cooking out, lawn games, city living, fixing up his house, and reading the Bible. He is married to Aletha—his best friend and soul mate!—and they have two kids, Jane and Emmett. One thing he loves about his job is just hanging out with people, so let him know if you want to get coffee or lunch with him sometime—his treat!

Pastor Michael Devereaux
Michael, a native Californian, has enjoyed an unusual route to pastor-hood. From his first job perfecting pizzas at Little Caesar’s, to announcing incoming calls at Sportmart, hauling luggage at Mesaba Airlines, and most recently completing custodial duties at Hope Community Church, he always knew there was a great reward coming! Michael loves nothing more than building "stuff", watching almost any movie, making and exploring music, being friendly to animals, patronizing local coffee shops, and laughing with his wonderful wife Nicole. He always welcomes your company at any of the above activities, though sometimes he appreciates being alone with his wife.

Becky Carlson, Administrative Assistant
Becky has lived in Minnesota her whole life from Duluth to Aurora to Northfield to South Minneapolis. She graduated from St. Olaf College with degrees in Mathematics and Family Studies. Besides keeping track of Hiawatha's finances and office duties, Becky also works at a community center in St. Paul as an after school teacher. She appreciates both of her jobs, from the exactness of working with numbers to the energy and creativity of working with children. She also likes to spend quality time with her husband Peter, hang out with friends, play soccer, watch movies, learn more about Jesus, read and volunteer.
